Wall Touch-Up Paint for Scuffs, Scratches & Nail Holes

Off-white wall with small scuffs touched up using Mr. Brushable touch-up paint

Scuffed walls? Gone in a minute. Chair rubs, furniture marks and moving-day dings. Fix the spot, not the whole room.

What it fixes on walls

  • Furniture rubs – gray streaks where couches and beds meet the wall.
  • Chair marks – the line every dining chair leaves behind.
  • Nail holes – patch with spackle first, then paint over it so it disappears.
  • Moving dings – hallway and stairwell nicks from boxes and furniture.

How to get an invisible fix

  1. Clean it. Wipe the spot with a damp cloth and let it dry. Paint won’t stick well over dust or grime.
  2. Squeeze. Gently squeeze the bottle to load the built-in brush. A little goes a long way.
  3. Dab & feather. Cover just the mark with a thin coat, then lightly feather the edges outward so there’s no hard line.
  4. Dry & done. Let it dry. Still see it? A second thin coat beats one thick one. Cap it and put it away.

Best finish for walls: flat or eggshell

Most walls are painted flat or eggshell. Match the shine as well as the color, or the patch will catch the light.

Pro tips

  • Work in daylight so you can see the mark clearly.
  • Stay inside the scuff. Big swipes are what make touch-ups show.
  • Find your color code on the lid of your leftover paint can.

Which bottle should I use on a wall?

Use the built-in brush bottle for small marks and edges, or the touch-up paint roller bottle for larger flat patches. For nail holes, use the wall repair kit to patch before painting. To keep your original color and sheen, fill an empty refillable applicator with your leftover paint. Photo color matching estimates the color; it does not match the sheen. Test a hidden area first.
