Touch-Up Paint for Door Scuffs & Chips

Doors get handled. A lot. Kick marks at the bottom, scuffs around the knob and dings on the edge. Make every door look freshly painted.
What it fixes on doors
- Kick marks – black scuffs along the bottom where feet push doors open.
- Knob scuffs – worn, grayed paint around handles and locks.
- Edge dings – chips on the edge from door stops, walls and moving.
- Pet scratches – claw marks on bedroom, back and laundry doors.
How to get an invisible fix
- Clean it. Hands leave oils near the knob. Wipe the area with a mild cleaner, rinse and let it dry.
- Smooth chips. Lightly sand any rough chip edges so the new paint sits flush.
- Squeeze & brush. Gently squeeze to load the built-in brush and follow the door’s direction: along the panels, then the frame pieces around them.
- Dry open. Leave the door slightly open while it dries so the edges don’t stick. Cap it and put it away.
Best finish for doors: semi-gloss or satin
Interior doors are usually semi-gloss or satin so they wipe clean. Match the shine so the fix blends in.
Pro tips
- Keep paint off hinges and hardware. Wipe any slip right away.
- Work top to bottom so drips land on unpainted areas.
- Thin coats keep the door edge from sticking to the frame.
