Mr. Brushable vs. Slobproof, Wall Refresher & Shur-Line: Which Touch-Up Tool Should You Get?
Short answer: For small scuffs, chips and trim, get the Mr. Brushable brush bottle. It arrives filled and ready, with the brush built in. For bigger patches on flat walls, get the Mr. Brushable roller bottle. It also comes pre-filled, so there's no can to pour from. If you already have leftover paint and don't mind filling a pen with a syringe, a refillable pen like Slobproof also works.
Small scuffs: Mr. Brushable brush bottle vs. Slobproof pen

| Paint capacity | 4 oz or 6 oz bottles | Small pen |

Bigger patches: Mr. Brushable roller bottle vs. Wall Refresher and Shur-Line Touch Up Painter
All three put a small roller on a paint container for patches too big for a brush. The difference is setup and cleanup.

Which should you choose?
- Small scuff, chip, trim or a corner? The Mr. Brushable brush bottle.
- Bigger mark on a flat wall, like a scuffed hallway, a stain or graffiti? The Mr. Brushable roller bottle.
- No leftover paint, or don't know your wall color? Use Color Match to estimate your wall color and request custom-mixed paint. Photo matching is an estimate.
- Have the original can and want zero setup each time? The Mr. Brushable Empty Bottle, or the roller bottle ordered empty. Pour your paint in once and it's ready whenever a scuff shows up.
- Repainting a whole wall? A regular roller and tray is still the right tool. Touch-up tools are for spots.
- Nail holes or dents? Paint alone won't hide them. Use the Nail Hole Filler & Wall Repair Kit first.
A note on sheen
Our stock colors are semi-gloss, the usual finish for trim, doors and cabinets. Many walls are flat or eggshell, so for walls, match your exact color or use your own paint in an empty bottle, and test in a hidden spot first.
